  1. Safety Information

    ISOCYANATE DISCLOSURE

    This product contains isocyanate, and although rare, may produce an allergic reaction in some people. Persons allergic to isocyanate, and particularly those suffering from asthma or other respiratory conditions, should not work with isocyanate.
    When working with this product, always use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including;
    ➢ Safety glasses / face shield
    ➢ Impenetrable gloves
    ➢ Long sleeve shirt
    ➢ Long pants
    ➢ Close-toe shoes or boots
    AVOID DIRECT CONTACT WITH SKIN
    In any case of liquid binding agent or blended material making contact with skin or clothes,
    clean immediately with soap and water.

  5. Top 5 Tips for TrowelPave Top Coat Tack coat

    ➢ This product contains isocyanate, and although rare, may produce an allergic reaction in some people. Persons allergic to isocyanate, and particularly those suffering from asthma or other respiratory conditions, should not work with isocyanate. When working with this product, always use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, face shield, impenetrable gloves, long sleeves and pants, and closed toe shoes or boots (avoid direct contact to skin).
    ➢ TrowelPave Top Coat Tack Coat should be installed within an ambient and surface temperature range of 55° - 90° F (10-32.2C). Avoid rain or wet conditions during application and curing. Do not overapply.
    ➢ TrowelPave Top Coat Tack Coat is specifically designed to increase adhesion to existing material and to TrowelPave surface abrasion.
    ➢ Apply maintenance coat as needed.
    ➢ TrowelPave Top Coat Tack Coat should only be used in association with TrowelPave repairs




  6. Preparation

    PROJECT PLANNING
    ➢ Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
    ○ Safety glasses / face shield
    ○ Impenetrable gloves
    ○ Long sleeve shirt
    ○ Long pants
    ○ Close-toe shoes or boots
    ➢ For road and parking area repairs, consider traffic safety for repair and curing time.
    ➢ Avoid icy or freezing conditions as it can extend the curing phase of the TrowelPave material




  7. Installation of TrowelPave Top Coat Tack coat

    INSTALLATION- Tack Coat
    ➢ IMPORTANT! For best results, do not install over standing water or during a heavy rain event except in emergency situations.
    ○ Damp situations are suitable for repair
    ○ In repair areas with standing water, remove excess standing water before installing TrowelPave.
    ➢ For best results, clean repair area thoroughly and remove any loose dust and debris
    ○ If water or pressure washing is needed, allow the area to dry before proceeding.
    ○ Chip loosely connected surface materials out to help prevent future deterioration of existing asphalt or concrete.
    ➢ Use a small high density foam roller to apply a thin, even coat of TrowelPave Tack Coat to the area to be repaired. Focus on tack coating the edges.
    ➢ Install TrowelPave repair as normal.

    INSTALLATION- Top Coat
    ➢ IMPORTANT! TrowelPave Top Coat can only be used with a TrowelPave Concrete Repair. Applying a top coat to an Asphalt Repair will not work as the material will not absorb the top coat
    ➢ IMPORTANT Make sure area to be top coated has had significant time to fully cure before applying TrowelPave Top Coat.
    ➢ Remove existing dirt, dust and debris using a broom or leaf blower.
    ➢ Use a small high density foam roller to apply a thin top coat to the TrowelPave Concrete Repair.
    ➢ Keep project area free from foot or vehicular traffic up to 1 hour if possible.
    ○ Turn off any nearby irrigation sprinklers where water may reach the repair.
    ○ Observe and enforce local road safety guidelines when repairing vehicular traffic areas.




  8. Cure Times for TrowelPave Top Coat Tack coat

    12-24 hours




  9. Cleanup

    ➢ Clean any tools and equipment with WD-40® and a dry cloth as needed.
    ➢ In case of accidental liquid binding agent spill onto tools, equipment, or concrete / hardscape surface, clean immediately with WD-40® and a dry cloth as needed.
    ○ For dried binder, use acetone and a dry cloth or brush to scrub affected areas.
    ➢ In case of accidental liquid binding agent spill onto skin or clothes, clean immediately with soap and water.




  10. Storage of TrowelPave Top Coat Tack coat

    ➢ Store unopened / unused TrowelPave Tack Coat out of direct sunlight in areas with a temperature range of 40º-90º F (4.4-32.2 C).
    ○ Do not allow material to freeze
    ➢ Liquid binding agent should not be stored after opening as it can begin slowly curing inside the bottle once air is introduced.
    ➢ If being stored long term, wipe bottle lip with vaseline to facilitate opening.




  11. Maintenance

    This is a maintenance product.
    Reapply as needed.




  12. Warranty

    TechniSoil Global, Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects. Where permitted by law, TechniSoil makes no other warranties with respect to this product, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose. The purchaser shall be responsible to orchestrate their own tests to determine the suitability of this product for their particular purpose. TechniSoil's liability shall be limited in all events to supplying sufficient product to re-treat the specific areas to which product proven to be defective has been applied. Acceptance and use of this product absolves TechniSoil from any other liability, from any and all sources, including liability for incidental, consequential or resultant damages whether due to breach of warranty, negligence or strict liability. This warranty may not be modified or extended by representatives of TechniSoil, its distributors or dealers, independent contractors, clients or end-users of any kind.
